If you are in the market for your first BMX bike either for yourself or for your child it can be pretty daunting and confusing trying to decide what is a good buy. Here at Sourcebmx we are rider owned and run and that's why we only sell bikes we can happily stand behind on both quality and design which we know will give you the best chance of enjoying and progressing in BMX.

Below is a little comparison between a bike from our entry level range from a proper BMX company and a cheaper BMX bike you can find from a brand called Go Easy which is typical of what you can find on the high street. See below for the reasons why here at Sourcebmx we don't consider this to be a real BMX bike.

1. The geometry is not going to help anyone learn a trick on this bike.
2. Cheap bikes are made from cheaper materials making them super heavy.
3. Cheap bikes use cheap ball bearings creating a maintenance nightmare.
4. Technology on this bike is outdated making it near impossible to upgrade.
5. It is quite possible that you will get laughed out of the skatepark on these bikes.
