if you have any questions regarding the Source Park, Please email us at: or check out the answers to the frequently asked questions below:

What are the opening times? 12pm - 10pm Mon-Fri / 10am-10pm Sat and Sun. Throughout School Holidays the Park is open 10am-10pm every day.

Other than BMXers and Skateboards what else will be let in?
The Source Park is mainly for BMXers and skateboarders with dedicated sessions for both of these disciplines. That said there will also be plenty of open sessions when anything and everything will be allowed. There will also be dedicated sessions for under 11’s, over 30’s night and girl only sessions.

Can I ride the main park and plaza in the same session? Unfortunately not. A 2 hour session is valid for either the plaza or main skatepark but not both. The reason for this is we have set quite low maximum limits in each skatepark so it's not overly busy and you can enjoy a good session. Also, they are situated over 100 metres apart with lots of stairs, a narrow corridor, our shop and a courtyard in between so moving between the two takes a while and means everywhere gets really congested; not to mention that you can get to the other end and find its at its limit and you have to turn around. We do offer a half price second session if you want to ride the other park straight after your first session.

Will there be lessons? Yes, we’ll be offering coaching sessions for beginners looking to get in to riding or skating as well as coaching to help riders develop. These will begin after Easter 2016 so keep an eye on our site for more information.

Can I get a job down there? Positions for the first round of jobs have now been filled. Any available spaces will be advertised here on this website and facebook etc so keep an eye out.

Will I be able to just watch? Yes, we have a large spectator area in the main park along with a cafe and seating. There is no spectating in the plaza (other than lessons, birthday parties) though due to space limitations and a legal restriction of the number of people in that skatepark.

Do you do private hire? Not at the moment but we will in the future

What Safety equipment do I need?  Helmets are compulsory for under 16’s and just recommended for those over 16. We recommend you ride with pads and gloves too.

Do you have anywhere to store my bike and belongings?  We don’t have anywhere to store bikes and you can only bring it in to the building if you have a session; there’s just not enough room to have hundreds of bikes lying around. We do have lockers to store personal belongings – they’re free but you need to leave a key desposit.

Does my bike need pegs, brakes, bar ends?  We don’t have any rules about your BMX except it must be in good working order and must have Bar ends that cover the whole handlebar end.

Can I ride my scooter or mini bike? We allow scooters in to open sessions providing that they are not foldable. If your scooter is foldable you will not be allowed in at all as they can collapse whilst using them on a skatepark. Also, they must have bar ends that over the whole end of the bar. Mini bikes/Rocker bikes etc are not allowed in to any sessions.

Can I hire a bike/board/helmet? Yes, we have helmets, bikes and skateboards to rent. The prices for the bikes vary depending on what tier you want and you must leave some form of ID as security (Photo ID or a bank card in your name). You can view the prices for eqiupment hire on the Hire page

Is there a minimum age to ride? No, but we recommend going in the under 11s sessions or taking lessons if the rider isn’t yet confident riding up and down ramps. Confidence and skills build quickly though and we have had lots of mixed sessions with really young riders riding alongside older riders.
