Source Park Lessons

Our lessons are the perfect introduction to the Source Park for young beginners. The sessions are aimed at 6-16 years old who are interested in BMX riding or skateboarding. The course will help learn basic skills and gain the confidence to enjoy the Source Park independently. Find out more info about signing up to our course of lessons below. 


Eagles coaching programmes take place on Mondays from 4pm to 8pm (next course begins on the 8th of January 2018 and runs until the 5th of February 2018), depending on the discipline and stage of the rider, as follow:


  • BMX Level 1 – 4pm to 5pm
  • BMX Level 1 – 5pm to 6pm
  • Skateboard – 5pm-6pm
  • BMX Level 2 – 6pm-7pm
  • Skateboard – 6pm-7pm
  • BMX Level 3 – 7pm-8pm
  • BMX Level 4 – 7pm-8pm


The Eagles coaching includes: 

  • 1 hour session a week under the guidance of the qualified Source Coaches
  • Weekly free session at the Source Park to practice what you learn in the coaching session
  • Free equipment hire, if required, during the coaching session and weekly free session
  • Eagles Coaching T-shirt
  • Certificate of Participation
  • Invite to Eagles Jam at the end of the course

If you have not attended one or any coaching programme at Source Park previously, we require you to book and attend a Familiarisation Day. This is a really fun session with our coaches there on hand to help and assess, identifying the most appropriate session for each rider. They will also get a feel of how the park works and is a great opportunity to meet our coaching team.

The next Familiarisation Day is scheduled for Friday 29th of December 2017. This must be booked in advance in order to receive a time slot for this day. Bookings can be taken over the phone on 01424 238 360 - please reference EAGLES Familiarisation Day. There is no cost for this.

What are the pre-requirements necessary to attend these courses?

The BMX rider must already be able to stand up and pedal a BMX bike. No particular pre-requirements are necessary to attend the skateboarding course

What is included in the hire of the equipment?

The hire equipment include boards, bikes, helmets and pads (these are various sizes according to participants needs). If you have your own equipment, please bring it along – you can use our hire equipment if it’s not suitable.

Is it mandatory wearing a helmet?

Wearing a helmet is mandatory during the coaching activities.

We now offer 1-2-1 BMX and Skateboard coaching with our qualified Source Eagle coaches. The 1-2-1 sessions are available from Mondays to Sundays from 2pm to 8pm.

Times and Coaches for the 1-2-1 sessions are allocated depending on customers’ status/ requirements so please contact us to discuss and book sessions as we need a few days’ notice and they are subject to availability. We will do everything we can to accommodate individual needs.

The 1-2-1 sessions need to be pre-booked and paid.

The prices for the coaching clubs are as follow:

- £35 per 1 hour session per one person

- £50 per 1 hour session per two persons

- £50 per 2 hours session per one person

This prices include the hire of the equipment (bikes, boards, pads, helmets) as well as a free 2-hour session at the Source Park to use either straight after your lesson or any time in the following week.
