Federal freecoaster hub V2 - designed by Bruce Chrisman and using KHE internal parts, this is designed to be more reliable and easier to adjust than the previous model. If you like rolling backwards without pedalling backwards, you need one of these. You can adjust the gap by inserting an allen key into the axle without taking the wheel out of the frame. 36 hole in black only. Available in LH or RH and 9 or 10t

Please note that due to the way freecoaster hubs work (engaging a mechanism when you roll backwards) they require more maintenance then a regular cassette hub.

Had this hub for almost two years now and only had to replace a washer, functions fine with no lock ups. I ride hard and engage the hub when i do half cabs so anyone that says the driver bearings explode or that freecoasters always break are bulls*$ters!

this coaster is good but you cant really get alot of slack on it, either source messed up or i ordered the wrong size driver(most probably the later of the 2) but now im running 30-9 (was gonna run 30-10) with it and you can hardly get any slack, the screw is out all the way and there is only slightly less than an 8th of a revolution before it engages. Gonna order a 23 tooth sprocket tho to make it bigger (and the stuff i ride has very little run up so u need low gearing). smooth and good qual... more...

Extremely good hub, never locks up even when freecoasting very fast. Adjustment from the outside is good aswel, only complaint is that i hav it in white and it gets dirty quickly.

its a very very good hub, onlyhad one problem so far and thats the bearings, but thats my own fault as i didn't service it as much as i should of done when i first got. im a fairly hard rider, and i love grinding, so i would recomend this hub if you want a coaster and grind, i would also recomend having a hubguard, (thats only casue i ride one and beleive it doesnt run your hub quickly) its also hardly ever engages, it also is very easy to change the gap on it.
