Product Description

Federal's Motion Freecoaster was designed to require less maintenance and to be easier to disassemble than other rear hubs, creating a more reliable part.

The hub shell is built from 6061-T6 aluminium alloy with a heat-treated chromoly axle, the axle is paired with a completely new nylon clutch retention spring that replaces the traditional spring and ball system. The nylon retention spring also reduces internal drag and enables faster rolling and smoother crankflips.

The Motion Freecoaster Hub comes with both drive side and non-drive side guards feature engraved logos.

Guards are fine
I run these hubguards on an old macneil cassette hub(had to cut a hex shape into the non drive guard so it would fit the mcneil cone nut). 2 months in, hit the guard plenty of times, no problems.
The guards are fine, I wouldnt let the above review deter you from this hub.
